Please note this is not a medical diagnosis. It is just what I am learning and want to help give some knowledge to others. If you seek medical advice I will provide some websites or you can go to your local doctor. I will provide a link to better help.

Ways to Help

You never know what anyone is going though so be kind always.- Unknown (As of right now) You do not know it yet but you could be the very person the next person might need. That is why I always say it is best to be kind and smile than to be unkind. Below will change as I learn more on the different kinds of mental illnesses and ways of helping. I am learning as you are learning. The image above is attached with a link to Better Help which a website where you can have a therapist at home instead of going out to one.

Depression

Depression is one of the known things called the silent killer. It affects how we portray things and how we live our daily life. Some ways to help will involve the most prominent key factor, patience. You cannot rush yourself when you are already stressed, anxious, sad, or have any negative emotions. Meet yourself where you are—getting some fitness in, whether just a walk around your house or neighborhood or doing some heavy lifting. Getting exercise is a great way to lower some of the symptoms of Depression.

Set attainable goals for the day and make them easy to achieve to help give you a sense of accomplishment. Recognizing your success even when depressed can help beat the negative thoughts. Create a routine for yourself, whether how you start your morning or end your day. Having a routine will help keep order in your day. Do something you love, whether drawing, watching tv, going hiking, cooking, or other things. If you love it and it is legal, do it! I know something that helped me when I was depressed was to pray to God and ask God to take away anything preventing me from being 100 percent with our Lord and Savior. I enjoy watching Mother Angelica and The Chosen series. I watch mass every day since I work full time, and it is not easy for me to go to mass. Indeed you will find what you love if you seek it. Seek, and you shall find, says the Lord. Click on the link, and it will take you to more ways to help with Depression.

Anxiety

Anxiety can come in different forms, but it is essential to understand that no matter how your mind is flustered, it must be stopped immediately. There are many ways to help with anxiety, from simply confiding in someone you trust or fidgeting to calming your mind. One of the top ways to relieve stress is to stay physically active by working out or going on a simple walk. I like to clean the house or work on the computer when I start feeling anxious. I also have a weakness in shopping when I have had a stressful day. One tip I love to give to others when they are nervous is to take a step back from the situation and take a deep breath. Ground yourself in your case and look for good around you. Pray to the Lord our God to remove any thoughts that are not of him and relax your heart on him. Keep track of what triggers you and steer clear from doing those things; if you have to do the things that make you anxious, try to replace the negative with the positive. I pray you do not have to do anything that does not make you happy in some form. If you are smoking or drinking frequently, I would suggest you stop because these two dependent items can cause you anxiety. I stopped drinking because I noticed it would give me great anxiety when I would drink. I started developing panic attacks when I started getting passed the tipsy level. If you continue doing the things that cause you stress or anxiety, it might take longer to heal. I want you to know that you have the Lord Jesus Christ in all your moment. You have Jesus in the highs and the lows. Jesus is not there for you in the best of moments. God knows you before you and knows what you will do; he chooses to love you. You should choose to love yourself and every part of you. Anxiety will find itself a door to exit once you start developing a transition in thoughts from negative to positive. Jesus never let those mourn alone; he wept with them. May God bless you today!
